New Zealand: Distribution of Schoolbags

Distributions

Donations

Since the Tsunami hit the United Sri Lanka Association has been extremely active in its support of Sarvodaya. This photo is of Chandra Ranasinghe from the USLA distributing schoolbags in Weramulla, Ambalangoda – a village that they adopted. With an investment of Rs. 20 million, New Zealand has started a long-term rehabilitation and development project in this village, about 100 km south of Colombo, in Galle District.

Mr. Ranasinghe is touring Sri Lanka to make the initial need assessments and development plans.
