Sarvodaya Leader Dr.A.T.Ariyaratne, on a visit to Japan addressed a Seminar on the theme “Learning to Change†organized by the Faculty of Policy Studies of the Chuo University. Dr.A.T.Ariyaratne’s lecture was followed by a panel discussion joined by Dr.Vinya Ariyaratne, Executive Director and Mr.Subesena De Silva, Deputy Executive Director – Field Operations.
The seminar was attended by a large number of students from the Chuo University as well as other representatives of the Japanese NGO community, the Japan Bank for International Development (JBIC) and Japan Sri Lanka Friendship Association. The Faculty of Policy Studies of the Chuo University has been sending batches of students from the University through an International Internship programme which is based on principles of experiential learning.
This programme which has now been successfully implemented for 3 consecutive years is organized by Ms.Momo Waguri, who is heading the International Internship Programme at Chuo.
