Sarvodaya Leader Dr.A.T.Ariyaratne continues with his trip to Japan meeting various Sarvodaya friends and supporters, and lecturing at important public gatherings. On 16th May 2005, he participated as a panelist at a public symposium organized by the Arigatou Foundation at the United Nations University (UNU) in Tokyo.
Dr.Ariyaratne who serves as a member of the Interfaith Council on Ethics Education for Children, an initiative of the Arigatou Foundation, spoke on value based education starting from the conception of the child in the mother’s womb to the beginning of adulthood. The other speakers and panelists included Dr.Hans Kung, President of Global Ethic Foundation, Mr.Kul Gautam, Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF and Miss Nour Ammari, GNRC youth – Fisher Program from Jordan.
