Food and Cash assistance, community sensitization, facilitation of distribution, support with post-distribution monitoring, community targeting- Phase II

Project Overview

The Cash Based Transfers project spearheaded by the World Food Programme (WFP) provides cash assistance to vulnerable people in seven districts (Nuwareliya, Mullaitivu, Ampara, Kegalle Rathnapura, Colombo, and Matara), helping them to meet their food and nutrition needs and mitigate the impacts of the economic crises.

Sarvodaya as the local implementing partner works closely with WFP to provide assistance and in-kind food distribution, as well as collaborate to strengthen emergency response capacities, budgeting, and daily administration.
