Cyclone Ditwah has become one of Sri Lanka’s most severe humanitarian crises in decades, affecting more than two million people and displacing tens of thousands. With over 1,200 safety centres overwhelmed and critical infrastructure damaged, urgent relief remains essential. Between 30 November and 5 December, Sarvodaya mobilized its nationwide network to deliver rapid, community-driven assistance, supported by its Emergency Operations Centre. From coordinating district responses to establishing a community kitchen in Yakkala, Sarvodaya continues to provide meals, dry rations, and emergency supplies to emerging vulnerable areas.

This report outlines the latest emergency situation updates and the rapid response efforts by Sarvodaya to help the affected communities.
