The Hony. President of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne unconditionally condemned the cowardly attacks on the churches and the hotels in Sri Lanka on the Easter Day morning. The series of attacks has killed more than 310 people by the the night of 22nd, with scores of injured men, women and children, many who were attending the Easter Sunday prayers.
Sarvodaya staffs, and volunteers are already on the ground supporting the diseased and injured, and Sarvodaya Shanthi Sena has mobilized its Interfaith Circles to prevent any further communal unrests based on these incidents.
Sarvodaya, as an organization committed for non-violence actions also stressed the duty and the role of the Government to prevent such unfortunate incidents, safeguarding the security of all its citizens.
