As a result of the recent escalation in violence and conflict in the north and east, there has been an increased level of disturbance to civilian life resulting in the displacement of a significant number of families.
In addition to calling on all parties to refrain from further violence, Sarvodaya is responding to the needs of the affected communities by providing humanitarian aid for several thousand men, women and children in welfare centres for affected people in the Trincomalee district.
