Suwasetha Sewa Society

In 1975 Suwasetha Sewa Society was established as a government approved charity. The main objectives of this charity are to protect and empower children, adolescents, the disabled and elders through:

  • Nutrition and residential care for children suffering from malnutrition, orphaned and abandoned children
  • Residential facilities for teenage victims of sexual abuse
  • Vocational training for young females with disabilities
  • Community-based rehabilitation programmes for persons with disabilities
    Programmes for street children

Currently there are in active operation:

 9 Child Development Centres (Children’s Homes) including the Masevana Home for Teenage Mothers

5 Pre-schools

5 Centres with services available to differently-abled persons

3 Elders’ Homes
