Dr. A. T. Ariyaratne, the Founder and President of Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement addressed the Parliament of the World’s Religions, 2009 held at Convention and Exhibition Center in Melbourne, Australia. The event took place from 3rd to 9th December, 2009. More than 5,000 participants represented world’s religions at the occasion.

Dr. Ariyaratne delivered speeches on ‘Poverty and Development’ and ‘Earth Charter as Global Ethics for a Sustainable Future’ along with several distinguished religious and lay speakers around the world. He also had the opportunity to present Sarvodaya to the participants in a seminar titled ‘Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement – Grassroots Development, Conflict Resolution and Education’.
