The fully equipped computer laboratory of Horana, Aluthgama Junior School was declared open by Mr. Krishan Fernando from HP Sri Lanka (Pte) Ltd, and Mr.Philip Lee from HP Singapore (Pte) Ltd, Mr. Henry Surapong from Open Knowledge (Pte) Ltd, and Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne, the Executive Director of Sarvodaya Sharamadana Movement on 19th June, 2008. The computer laboratory with 13 computers has been established in renovated school building thanks to the donation of Happy Heart Foundation U.S.A., and Hewlett-Packard Company in partnership with Sarvodaya.
The facility will be maintained by the HP Sri Lanka (Pte) Ltd for a period of one year.
