Sarvodaya President A.T. Ariyaratne visited Kalmunai, one of the first places hit by the Tsunami. Here he is pictured handing out dry rations, usually biscuits, pasta, canned goods and other non-perishables. Sarvodaya also distributes rice, dhal (lentils), flour, water, clothes, household items, and school things. We’ve put together a small slideshow or Dr. Ariyaratne’s visit which you can view here:
The highest deaths happned in kalmunai and about 70% of deaths occured in the North/East province in Sri Lanka. Ask the Government to leave Foreigner VIPs to visit these palces. No ppolitics please.
