We are deeply impressed with the outstanding humanitarian work and noble character of the esteemed Dr. Ari, who is indeed a worthy recipient of this high honour.

We are most grateful to Commander Sir David Capraro for bringing to our attention Dr. Ari’s dedication to selfless service, which is the hallmark of spiritual conduct in these days.

We wish you a most inspiring and enjoyable evening and only wish that we could all be there to share it with you.

The ceremonial meeting started at 7.00 pm with a welcome talk by Gary Blaze.

Then Dave Capraro gave a talk on his experiences with the Sarvodaya Movement when he visited Sarvodaya Headquarters and villages throughout Sri Lanka.  Dave stated that it is Sarvodaya’s  global philosophy and practical application that can help bring about lasting peace in the world.  This was followed by a presentation of a beautiful replica to Dr. Ariyaratne.  Then a donation of US $9,500 from The Mystical Order of St. Peter was presented by Ambassador-at-Large for the Order, Mrs. Chrisse Blaze.

Dr. Ariyaratne in his response thanked the Mystical Order of Saint Peter and all those who were present for this kindness of selecting him for this award.  He gave a historical background of Sarvodaya of Sri Lanka and especially referred to humanitarian services done by the organization particularly Sarvodaya Suwasetha headed by Mrs. Neetha Ariyaratne.  He mentioned that the cash donation would be given to Suwasetha for humanitarian services.
